hi! welcome to my website. i wanted to make a place where my creative projects could live and where i can build something whenever i'm feeling inspired.
i'm usually doing something outdoors: soccer, backpacking, mountain biking, running, yoga, etc.
i love classic novels, movies (think: A24 oscar bait, but open to all genres), and obsessively tracking my health data on Garmin.
i worked as a trip leader taking groups of students on backpacking trips across the southeast for a few years. this inspired me to want to thru-hike the AT but after attempting the 100-mile wilderness in Maine, changed my mind. still like backpacking.
i love maps and city planning. big fan of CityNerd. Chicago's grid system has converted me to a passionate YIMBY urbanist / wannabe city planner.

i have always loved data. SQL is my best friend. i wrote my college essays about using my graphing calculator to analyze Spotify data… now i can't even remember if that was actually true or just an idea to make me sound smart and quirky. either way, i am finally attempting it on this website.
the projects here are a mix of data storytelling + music + maps + various things i got curious about.
